Natasha Dalton has joined Ward, Damon, Posner, Pheterson & Bleau in West Palm Beach. Dalton focuses on bankruptcy litigation, creditors’ rights, employment law, commercial litigation, real estate, and foreclosure law.

Michael “Kip” Krieger has joined Carlton Fields in Tallahassee as an associate in the government law and consulting practice group.

Chad S. Purdie has been named partner of Diaz Reus & Targ in Miami. Purdie focuses on complex commercial cases, international litigation and arbitration, sovereign immunity, RICO actions, real estate, and intellectual property law.

Kathryn M. Oughton has joined Boyd & Jenerette in Jacksonville as an associate. Oughton focuses on civil litigation with an emphasis on the defense of cases involving automobile and trucking liability, premises liability, wrongful death, bad faith, and coverage issues.

Philip M. Hanaka and John P. Dyro, Sr.,

have joined Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney in Aventura in its financial services section. The firm plans to relocate its entire Aventura office to Ft. Lauderdale this fall.

Hinman, Howard & Kattell has opened an office located at 4600 Military Trail, Suite 212, Jupiter, which will focus on estate planning, wills, trusts, and probate. Kelly L. Wright has also joined the firm as special counsel and will serve clients in both Jupiter and Boynton.

Gregory Schmitz has joined Fisher & Phillips in Ft. Lauderdale as an associate. Schmitz defends employers in state and federal court litigation and arbitration on a wide variety of employment-related claims.

Charles B. Koval has affiliated with Dell Graham in Gainesville. Koval practices health law, real estate, and special needs trusts.

Bart A. Houston and J. Edward Houston have formed Houston Law Group, P.A., in Ft. Lauderdale. The practice will focus on business restructuring and workouts, including Chapter 11 debtor representation and insolvency and business litigation in the state and federal courts. The firm is located at 1401 E. Broward Blvd, Suite 206, Ft. Lauderdale.

John N. Cain, Jr., has become a named partner in a firm that will now be known as Mandelbaum, Fitzsimmons, Hewitt & Cain in Tampa. Benjamin S. Stranzl and Kelley N. Flournoy have also joined the firm as associates, and Charleen Ramus Jaffe and David H. McClain have become of counsel to the firm.

Rose M. Schindler has joined Roetzel in Ft. Lauderdale as a partner. Schindler focuses her practice on securities litigation, primarily securities arbitration. Her cases also involve commodities litigation, regulatory investigations, and compliance consulting.

Nancy Watkin has joined Berger Singerman in Miami as a partner and member of the business, finance, and tax team. Watkin focuses in the areas of wealth transfer planning, business succession planning, charitable gift planning, and personal tax planning.

Teresa F. Cummings has joined McConnaughhay, Duffy, Coonrod, Pope & Weaver in Panama City. She will focus in the area of workers’ compensation defense.

Natalie A. Peters has joined Broad and Cassel in Orlando as an associate in the construction law and litigation practice group.

W. Russell Hamilton has become of counsel with FordHarrison in Melbourne. Hamilton concentrates his practice on representing employers, employer associations, and employee benefit plans and fiduciaries in labor, employment, and employee benefits and withdrawal liability matters.

Pedro E. Hernandez and Eric A. Hiller have been promoted to partner with Hinshaw & Culbertson in Coral Gables. Hernandez handles commercial, construction, coverage, and health care litigation. Hiller focuses on insurance coverage and complex commercial litigation. He handles high-exposure claims, including common law and statutory bad faith litigation.

Sasha Funk Granai has joined Carlton Fields in Tampa as an associate in the real property litigation practice group. Granai focuses on complex commercial and transnational litigation.

Rachel N. Barlow has joined Cummings & Lockwood in Naples. Barlow is a trusts and estates attorney.

Salvatore G. Scro has joined Band Weintraub in Sarasota as a partner and head of its litigation department. Scro focuses on complex construction, commercial and civil litigation, personal injury litigation, family law, and commercial and residential real estate transactions.

Natly Torres-Alvarado has joined McDonald Toole Wiggins in Orlando as of counsel, and Nathan E. Wittman has joined the firm as an associate. Torres-Alvarado is a board certified business litigator, representing clients in a variety of complex commercial litigation matters. Wittman practices product liability and personal injury law.

La’Rae Hendrix has joined the Florida Department of Children and Families’ Children’s Legal Services as a senior attorney in Palatka/Putnam County for Circuit 7 with the Northeast Region.

P. Benjamin Zuckerman has joined Berger Singerman in Boca Raton as a partner and member of the dispute resolution team. Zuckerman focuses on complex commercial and business matters.

Michael S. “Scott” Herring has become a partner with Herring and Herring in Sanford. Herring focuses on personal injury and wrongful death.

Michael Mopsick has joined Shapiro, Blasi, Wasserman & Gora in Boca Raton as of counsel. Mopsick focuses on probate and trust litigation, and commercial litigation. He is also a Florida Supreme Court certified circuit civil mediator.

Dane M. Dunson has joined Carlton Fields in West Palm Beach as an associate. Dunson practices in the national business litigation and trade regulation practice group.

Robert R. Reynolds IV has joined Goldstein, Schmitt, Cambron and Reynolds in Stuart as a partner. Reynolds is a board certified civil trial lawyer and focuses on personal injury law.

Derrill L. McAteer has joined Smolker, Bartlett, Schlosser, Loeb & Hinds in Tampa as an associate. McAteer focuses on land use law, including comprehensive plan amendments, rezoning, special exceptions, variances, and various property rights concerns. His practice also includes commercial litigation, property rights litigation, and eminent domain.

David S. Brecher has opened Brecher Mediation, PLC, in Jacksonville. Brecher serves as a mediator and arbitrator of disputes involving torts, insurance, personal injury, and wrongful death, professional liability, construction, warranty, employment, business and contract disputes, and other commercial matters.

Cory B. Suter has joined Stovash, Case & Tingle in Orlando as an associate in the firm’s banking and real estate litigation team, representing banks and other creditors with disputes involving commercial loans, real estate transactions, and debt collection.
