FJA diversity reception

THE FLORIDA JUSTICE ASSOCIATION and the Miami-Dade Justice Association hosted their inaugural Diversity Reception as part of FJA’s annual “Masters of Justice” seminar in Coral Gables. More than 150 people from nearly 25 organizations and firms joined FJA and MDJA to celebrate diversity, including several Florida legislators and members of the judiciary. FJA President Paul Anderson of Tallahassee and Diversity Chair Rod Gregory of Jacksonville welcomed the guests and expounded on the mission of the FJA to embrace diversity. “The FJA is a better, stronger association when lawyers of diverse heritage, race, and sex join together and give of their time, talent, and treasure in the interest of justice,” Anderson said. G.C. Murray, Jr., deputy general counsel of FJA, said the FJA has always believed that only through diversity and inclusion can the organization be ambassadors of justice and resources to injured citizens. “It is, and unequivocally will be, our charge to see people through, not see through people,” Murray said.
