Ian Ronderos of Miami and Kelly Corcoran of Ft. Lauderdale were elected to partnership in Walton Lantaff Schroeder & Carson. Ronderos focuses his practice on first-party and third-party insurance defense litigation and policy limits demand opinions. Corcoran focuses his practice on liability insurance coverage and bad faith.

Andrew W. Lennox and Casey Reeder Lennox opened Lennox Law, P.A., located at 4905 S. Westshore Blvd., Tampa. The husband-and-wife team will continue to practice in the areas of commercial litigation, creditors’ rights, and bankruptcy.

Mark Massey of Tampa has been appointed a judge of compensation claims by Gov. Rick Scott.

Maria del Carmen Ramos and Mindi M. Richter have been named partners of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick in Tampa. Ramos focuses on immigration and employment issues. Richter focuses on trademark selection, registration, and protection, as well as trade secrets, copyright, patent, and Internet matters.

Matthew T. Ramenda has become a shareholder with Jones, Foster, Johnston & Stubbs in West Palm Beach. Ramenda concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, business torts, securities law, and municipal law.

Pleat & Perry, P.A., with offices in Destin, Navarre, and Rosemary Beach, has changed its name to Pleat, Perry & Ritchie, P.A., to recognize the services of partner William J. “West” Ritchie.

Diane J. Geller has joined Fox Rothschild in West Palm Beach as a partner. Geller practices employment law.

Theresa “Cissy” Proctor has become deputy director of legislative affairs at the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity in Tallahassee. Proctor will focus on advancing the economic needs of Florida in partnership with the Governor’s Office and Legislature.

Paul Milberg has been named a partner with Katzman Garfinkel & Berger in Margate. Milberg concentrates on complex commercial litigation matters primarily in the areas of contract, real estate, landlord-tenant, probate, consumer, and community association law.

Melissa Tapanes Llahues has been named a full partner and shareholder of Bercow Radell & Fernandez in Miami. Tapanes Llahues represents the interests of landowners, institutional clients, and developers seeking approvals from governmental boards and agencies at the local, state, and federal levels.

Gutter Chaves Josepher Rubin Forman Fleisher Miller has relocated to Boca Corporate Center, 2101 N.W. Corporate Blvd., Suite 107, Boca Raton 33431.

Russell J. Frank founded The Frank Family Defense Firm, LLC, located at 1800 Pembrook Drive, Suite 300, Orlando 32810. The Frank Family Defense Firm will focus on all aspects of marital and family law matters and criminal defense.

Andrea Mirabito Frank has joined Palmer Ranch Holdings in Sarasota as general counsel. Frank will oversee real estate interests and strategic planning of Palmer Ranch Holdings, Ltd., in Sarasota County.

Linda Weiksnar has been named a partner with The Law Firm of Crary Buchanan in Stuart. She heads the family law department, providing legal services related to adoption, time sharing, child support, collaborative divorce, dissolution of marriage, equitable distribution, modification of prior court orders, parenting plans, relocation, spousal support, mediation, and visitation.

Jeffrey J. Saunders has been named a partner with The Law Firm of Crary Buchanan in Stuart. He practices civil litigation, including mortgage foreclosure, bankruptcy, and real property, and title insurance litigation.

Jason S. Rimes has been promoted to partner in Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed in Orlando. Rimes focuses his legal practice on corporate, mergers and acquisitions, health care, sports and aviation law, and real estate transactions and finance.

Junilla Sledziewski opened the Law Office of Junilla Sledziewski, Esq. She represents clients in property, homeowner, and landlord/tenant disputes, small business transactions, and general civil litigation.

Boyer & Jackson, a Sarasota-based elder law firm, has opened an office in Austin, TX, located at 4611 Bee Caves Road, Suite 307b, Austin 78746. Mary Alice Jackson will be managing the Austin office and her practice will primarily focus on special needs trusts, long-term care counseling, and estate planning.

Jason Gordon has been made a partner with Heller Waldman in Miami. Gordon focuses on complex commercial litigation and business law.

Michael A. Sayre has joined Heller Waldman in Miami. Sayre focuses on business, construction, and international litigation.

Stephany Garcia and Karen Iezzi have joined The Hujber Law Group and Immigration Law Offices of Richard Hujber in Boynton Beach as associates practicing in immigration and family law.

Shutts & Bowen has named seven new partners, including Jason W. Hill of the construction litigation practice group in Orlando; Rachel H. LeBlanc of Ft. Lauderdale, who concentrates in commercial litigation; Kimberly A. Prior in Miami, where she practices in the firm’s financial services practice group; Matthew S. Sackel of the litigation department in West Palm Beach; Lauren M. Sobel of the business litigation practice group in Miami; C. Mark Stevenson of the tax and international law practice groups in Tampa; and Janelle A. Weber of the business litigation practice group in Tampa.

Gunster has opened an office in the Orlando area with the addition of Tico Perez, Derek Bruce, and Jeff Jonasen. Perez is a shareholder concentrating on government affairs and corporate law. Bolves focuses on property rights and commercial litigation. Steven R. Medendorp will be of counsel with the firm and focuses on real estate, title insurance, and complex construction and surety litigation.

Albert A. del Castillo has returned to the Miami office of Greenberg Traurig as a shareholder in the firm’s national public finance practice.

Christene M. Ertl has joined Rice & Rose in Daytona Beach as a partner. Ertl focuses on business law, including contract negotiation, commercial litigation, real property disputes/litigation, representation of condominium and homeowner associations, and registration and litigation of trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.

David S. Carus has become a shareholder with Allen, Dyer, Doppelt, Milbrath and Gilchrist in Orlando. Carus practices in the areas of patent prosecution.

Janice Buchman has become a partner of Butler Pappas Weihmuller Katz Craig in Tampa. Buchman focuses on insurance law, specifically including large, complex first-party coverage matters, builder’s risk, fire and theft claims, fraud, construction defect litigation, excess and reinsurance coverage, extra-contractual claims, appeals, and alternative dispute resolution.

Ronald E. Reed opened Reed Law Group, P.A., located at 2112 Riverside Avenue, Third Floor, Jacksonville 32204. His firm will focus on civil trial litigation.

Ann W. Licandro joined Reed Law Group, P.A., in Jacksonville as a partner, where she will focus on insurance defense and civil trial litigation.

Marc D. Chapman of Orlando has been elected president of Dean, Mead, Egerton, Bloodworth, Capouano & Bozarth. Chapman works in the firm’s litigation department.

Robert G. Collins joined Pleat, Perry & Ritchie in Navarre. Collins focuses on criminal law, real estate, association, civil litigation, and small business representation.

Ian S. Giovinco recently became of counsel for Anton Castro Law in Tampa. Giovinco focuses on estate planning, probate, and trust law.
