Steven R. Walker, general counsel and director of the Board Advisory Services with the National Association of Corporate Directors in Washington, D.C., presented “CEO Succession Planning” at the Canadian Society of Corporate Secretaries 16th Annual Corporate Governance Conference in Banff, Canada. He was also a featured speaker at the Institute for Excellence in Corporate Governance’s 12th Annual Corporate Governance Conference in Dallas on the subject of “What Do Board Evaluations Reveal About Board Dynamics?”

Barbara Leach of Barbara Leach Law, PL in Orlando has been appointed to a two-year term to the Ninth Judicial Circuit Local Professionalism Panel.

William (“Will”) T. Link, Jr., of Reed & Mawhinney in Lakeland received the Polk Emerging Leaders Award, given by a collaboration of Chamber groups from Bartow, Lakeland, and Winter Haven, recognizing young professionals whose work and community activities significantly contribute to Polk County.

Adam J. Langino of Cohen Milstein Sellers & Toll in Palm Beach Gardens has been appointed ex officio trustee of the Pound Civil Justice Institute.
