LEADERS LOOK AT THE FLORIDA BAR’S PAST AND FUTURE
Much has changed for The Florida Bar since it began operating in 1950 but one thing remains immutable. Steve Zack, Bar president for 1989-90 and who went on to become president of the ABA, recalled advice he got from Chesterfield Smith, another former Bar and ABA president. “He had a very simple statement: Do good,” Zack said, “I think that still applies today.” The event was aired on June 15, the first day of the Bar’s first-ever Virtual Annual Florida Bar Convention — a fact noted by some of the participants.
