Screen capture of Microsoft Editor“Microsoft Editor” is an AI-powered, writing virtual assistant that offers basic suggestions in grammar and spelling as you type. It not only quickly catches typos and mistakes, but it also can help you communicate more clearly. And it does so in more than 20 languages!

Editor is a new and constantly developing service that comes with a Microsoft account and/or Microsoft 365 — look for it to add a plagiarism checker later this year. You can use it in Word, Word online, Outlook (desktop) Outlook.com, and as  a standalone browser extension for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge (Microsoft’s replacement for Internet Explorer).

How does it work? Editor underlines the issues as it finds them. You will select the underlined word or phrase to accept or ignore the suggestion presented to you.
