Last week’s Tech Tip covered an urgent update released by Microsoft to address a newly discovered security risk. This week’s tip is to remind you that you shouldn’t wait until a critical patch has been served to run updates on your systems and software – whether you are a PC or a MAC. If you aren’t sure how to check for updates on a specific service or program that you use – search via Google to make sure you are protected.

All operating systems try to alert us that there is an available update. Mobile devices – Apple or Android – are constantly reminding us when an update is available. Install those right away when you see them.

Finally, all our software packages and services should be regularly checked for updates.
