How many times a week, if not a day, does someone ask you to send them your availability for a call or meeting? Now, how many times do you struggle to find a quick and easy way to do that? On your mobile phone? Well, we are here to tell you – there is a way! An easy way! And it’s wrapped up into a great third-party email app available for iPhones and Androids. Believe it or not, it’s the Outlook app from Microsoft.  With a built-in calendar, support for just about any common email service (yes, you can use a Gmail account!), and innovative inbox and attachment management, it’s no surprise that it’s a popular app.

One of the best features, though, is the feature to send your availability right from within an email message (assuming your use a digital calendar and it’s connected to your email account, a la Gmail or Office 365). After downloading the app and configuring your email, compose a new message. Next, look for and tap the + icon in the bottom right corner. Next, tap Send Availability (the little calendar icon). Scroll through your calendar and tap on time slots to create a list of your available times. and hit Done. A list of those times will appear in the body of your message and now you can draft and send your email (protip – you can delete the note that says “Made Easy by Outlook).
