The Florida Bar

From, members may access the fee statement in a number of ways: via Member Profile pages, Home page, or from the "What's New" section. Each year, contains a number of promotional graphics and elements linked to Fee Payment (same destination URL).

Attempting to access the Online Fee Statement Form from a saved link or bookmark is often met with a "Page cannot be displayed" or other error page. Access from the Home page or other current link for best results.

If you aren't logged on, you'll need to log on to process your fee payment.

Login requires a valid member number and a known password. Leading zeros on Member Number make no difference, but spaces do! Passwords are case-sensitive as well.
If the member has forgotten account password, the member should click "Forgot your password?" and provide the last 4 digits of Social Security Number to set a new one.
Lockout calls - sometimes members will continue to enter a password that is rejected each time, and will do that until they are informed that they are "locked out". This is a security feature, and is intentional - we don't want people trying to hack into a member's profile, after all. This lockout only lasts a matter of 15-30 minutes, but it doesn't mean that the member can continue to stick with an incorrect password!! (else lockout will continue). As long as the member's last 4 of SSN is on file, member may use "Forgot your password?" link to set a new one.

Online Fee Statement Form will display showing "Skip Navigation" links at the top for accessibility:

Immediately underneath, the Online Fee Statement Form begins.
2013-2014 is noted at the top of the Online Fee Statement Form.
Details contained within the member's AS/400 record determine the type of form initially loaded, i.e., ACTIVE vs INACTIVE vs FRP. ACTIVE members will see an "I HEREBY ELECT INACTIVE STATUS" checkbox - checking this box will reload the Online Fee Statement Form using the section limitations and fees adjustment for INACTIVE members. Note that during Late Fee Payment, election of INACTIVE STATUS is no longer available on the Online Fee Statement Form.
Most importantly, Member Number and Name are displayed:

Confirm Member Number and Name.

Next section, SECTION and DIVISION DUES. Online Fee Statement Form will preload any existing Section memberships, and total Section Dues:

Member may click to check or uncheck a specific Section, Total Section Dues will adjust.

Govt/Admin/Criminal have joint section pricing - if a member notices that boxes are randomly unchecking as selections are made, this is only happening so that the discounted "Joint" selection may be selected.
INACTIVE members have a much smaller list of available Sections - that is by design.

Next section, VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTIONS. Each year, members are given the opportunity to contribute to the Attorneys Charitable Trust, Children's Legal Services, Supreme Court Historical Society, and/or FLAME (Florida Lawyers for the Maintenance of Excellence). The member may enter amount of contribution to the right of desired charitable contribution recipient:

Next section, MEMBERSHIP FEES. In this section, Prior, Current, Late, and Other (Disciplinary, for example) Costs are itemized. These items may not be edited - they are delivered from the member record on the AS/400. Subtotal displays.
Total field displays all Section, Voluntary Contribution, and Fees amounts together. The only way to "adjust" this number is to drop Section elections, or delete Voluntary Contribution amount(s):

Member may also indicate full-time Government employee status by checking the box provided.

The Government Employment checkbox may be completed for informational purposes only, but some government employees may select this option AND wish to pay by installments. To do so, they must exit the Online Fee Statement Form and submit the Fee Statement Form using the paper form. If the member has lost the paper form, they may contact Membership Records for another.

Next section, DUE DATES:

In plain language, the options are totally inclusive - either the member is required and does, is not required, or is required and does not comply with trust account requirements.

Next section, ANNUAL PRO BONO REPORTING (REQUIRED). Use drop-downs to specify detail/select category, and blanks to enter number of hours and/or $ amounts:

Even if the answer to this question is "Well, I didn't give any money or time..." that results in a check in the #4 box.
Multiple selections are permitted, e.g., the member donated hours, money, and for a portion of the year was deferred from providing pro bono services because of a change in status or employment.

Next section, COMMUNITY SERVICE (OPTIONAL). In this section, members may indicate (using whole hours) the number of hours devoted to community service within the legal, religious, civic, or other charitable communities:

This section is often filled out but is used for reporting purposes only - lack of response in this section will not keep the Online Fee Statement Form from successful submission.

When finished, member may click to move forward to Shopping Cart review and payment.

Shopping Cart displays, showing individually items added:

To remove any specific item, click remove link to the right of item
Within the Fees Shopping Cart, please do not use to add non Fees items (mixed Shopping Carts that include Annual Bar Membership Fees item will produce an error).
To move forward to Payment screen, click , noting new Working....please wait.... notation at bottom:

Working....please wait....

Important! Refreshing or otherwise resubmitting the Online Fee Statement Form at any time when a Working....please wait.... notice is displaying will cause problems. Patience.

Payment Screen again lists items ordered at top:

Member enters credit card number and expiration date > click to submit for approval:

Working....please wait.... indicator displays awaiting response from credit card company:

On approval, Confirmation Page loads noting items purchased, total, member detail, credit card authorization number, and order date:

Member may print to a printer or PDF as desired, but should note that a confirmatory email is also sent to the email address on record for the member. These emails typically arrive minutes after successful payment.
If for some reason the member does not receive a confirmatory email, advise the member to a) check SPAM folder (all email clients have them), and/or b) contact Membership Records for a duplicate.

If finished with Bar business, click Member Log Out at top right to securely close the connection to
