NOTICE TO ALL BAR MEMBERS WITHIN THEIR FIRST THREE (3) YEARS OF ADMISSION:

Pursuant to Rule 6-12.1(b), Rules Regulating The Florida Bar, you are required to complete three (3) “Basic” level substantive CLE courses presented by the Young Lawyers Division within your initial 3 year cycle after admission to The Florida Bar. (This is in addition to your attendance at the Practicing With Professionalism Seminar). This seminar satisfies one (1) of the course requirements.
Effective March 6, 2010, new lawyers or members that have not yet completed their three Basic CLE course component of the Basic Skills Course Requirement (BSCR), Rule 6-12, Rules Regulating The Florida Bar, will be able to fulfill this requirement either by attending a live Basic CLE presentation or participating in the 24/7 on-line CLE version of the Basic program and obtaining a certificate of completion. This on-line CLE option will replace the previously offered video replays. Live webcasts/virtual seminars, audio-CD and video-DVD programs will not satisfy this requirement. You can register for upcoming live seminars or participate in the 24/7 On-line CLE at your convenience and any time, 24 hours a day, by accessing The Florida Bar CLE website at www.floridabar.org/CLE. The in-person attendance requirement for Practicing with Professionalism has not changed. This expanded delivery method option for satisfying the BSCR only affects those attorneys who have not yet completed the BSCR.

Effective January 1, 2016, new lawyers or members completing Phase II of the Basic Skills Course Requirement through The Florida Bar’s 24/7 online or downloadable delivery system will have the option of completing three single Basic programs (a single course of at least 7 one-hour segments) or by completing 21 individual segments, or any combination of the two, as long as the member has completed a total of 21 one-hour segments within their first three years of admission. Completing three Basic level CLE courses will still satisfy Phase II of the BSCR and is equal to completion of 21 segments. If a member is only interested in completing certain segments of a single program, those segments will be made available online individually. Members can choose to complete an entire program title or individual segments of various programs as long they complete a total of 21 segments. Completion of a single program title is equal to completion of 7 segments.
