The 17th Judicial Circuit of Florida is launching a new Family Court Services program aimed at connecting people involved in family litigation with therapeutic resources while helping ensure compliance with court orders.
The program, funded by Broward County Government, is designed to improve conflict resolution and provide supportive services to families navigating the court system.
To celebrate the program’s launch, a Family Court Services kickoff event will take place at noon on Friday, March 20, in Courtroom 9165 in the West Tower of the Broward County Courthouse. Chief Judge Carol-Lisa Phillips, Judge Lauren M. Alperstein, Judge Hope Tieman Bristol, and County Commissioner Nan Rich Remarks are slated to attend and offer remarks.
Family Court Services is intended to improve conflict resolution and provide supportive services to families involved in the court system, with particular sensitivity to the needs and well-being of children, according to the court. The program is designed to help families access services that can reduce conflict, support healthier outcomes, and assist litigants in meeting the expectations set by the court.
