Retired Judge of Compensation Claims Rand Hoch of The Law and Mediation Offices of Rand Hoch was presented with the Key to the City of West Palm Beach by Mayor Keith James. Hoch was recognized for his decades of service on behalf of the city’s LGBTQ+ residents and municipal employees.

Alan Rosenberg of Markowitz Ringel Trusty + Hartog in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale moderated a webinar hosted by the Bankruptcy Bar Association of the Southern District of Florida on the role of the Subchapter V Trustee and practical considerations in Subchapter V.

Richard C. Lorenzo was named board chair of the Miami International Arbitration Society.

Philippe C. Jeck of Jeck, Harris, Raynor & Jones has been re-elected general counsel and as an executive committee member of the Economic Council of Palm Beach County, Inc.

Elizabeth F. Schwartz of Miami was honored with the Pioneer Award by SAGE, a national non-profit that’s been looking out for LGBTQ+ elders since 1978.

Michael Mitrione of Gunster has been named chair of the Governing Board of Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center.

Mark A. Sessums of Tampa spoke at the 2023 American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Florida Chapter’s Marital and Family Law Review course.

Nayib Hassan was elected president of the Miami Lakes Bar Association.

Frederic Rocafort of Harris Bricken was a panelist for a roundtable on trademarks and non-fungible tokens conducted by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and United States Copyright Office.

Jerome M. Hesch of Meltzer, Lippe, Goldstein & Breitstone was recently recognized at the 57th Annual Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning and was named the recipient of Bloomberg BNA’s Leonard L. Silverstein Lifetime Achievement Award.

Judge Edward H. Merrigan, Jr., 17th Judicial Circuit, was promoted to Major General in the U.S. Army Reserve. Major General Merrigan is the Commanding General of the 84th Training Command, Fort Knox, Kentucky.
