BLSE accepting nominations for annual certification awards
The Board of Legal Specialization and Education is currently accepting nominations for its two annual board certification awards — The Justice Harry Lee Anstead Award, which recognizes the board certified lawyer of the year, and the Excellence in The Promotion of Board Certification Award.
The 2020 and 2021 awards will tentatively be presented by Supreme Court Chief Justice Charles Canady at the Board Certified Lawyers Reception during The Florida Bar Annual Convention at Hilton Bonnet Creek Orlando June 10 at 6 p.m.
Nomination forms are now available online, by clicking “see past recipients and nominate.” Nominations are due by April 16.
The Justice Harry Lee Anstead Award is presented annually to a Florida Board Certified lawyer or judge and recognizes exemplary professionalism, excellence, character, and commitment to The Florida Bar’s certification program and to the practice of law.
The Award For Excellence in The Promotion of Board Certification recognizes excellence and creativity by a Florida Bar Board Certified lawyer or a law firm in advancing the public’s knowledge of and appreciation for legal board certification.
