CABA Foundation awards scholarships to law students at annual reception

The Cuban American Bar Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Cuban American Bar Association (CABA), awarded scholarships to 24 law students attending law schools from across the U.S. at its annual reception on August 5.
A total of $75,000 in scholarships was awarded, with nine applicants receiving $2,500 and another 15 applicants receiving $3,500.
“One of the most impactful ways we fulfill our mission is through these scholarships,” said CABA Foundation President Javier A. Ley-Soto. “It is designed to recognize outstanding, full-time law students who have achieved extraordinary academic records and have demonstrated a record of volunteer work in the community. We specifically seek out Cuban-American law students, as well as law students of all backgrounds who are interested in activities of importance to the Cuban-American community.”

CABA Foundation scholarships are funded through community support, CABA fundraising activities, sponsor contributions, and donations from foundation fellows.

The CABA Foundation was established in 1986 to further CABA's mission through charitable endeavors, with a strong focus on education and community service.
