Celebrating excellence: STU Law recognizes donors and outstanding students at annual luncheon
Bar President Scott Westheimer spoke on the importance of professionalism, civility, and integrity within the profession
St. Thomas University Benjamin L. Crump College of Law held its annual Donor Scholarship & Law Day Luncheon April 2.
The event recognized scholarship donors and their student recipients, as well as celebrated students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement. David A. Armstrong, president of St. Thomas University, welcomed guests to the occasion and extended his appreciation to the donors for their generous support in funding scholarships for STU Law students.
Scott Westheimer, president of The Florida Bar, was the guest speaker and stressed the importance of professionalism, civility, and integrity within the legal profession as well as preserving the core values of the legal community in a rapidly evolving digital age.
Westheimer concluded his remarks by sharing some practical advice for success, including making a positive first impression, staying true to oneself, and prioritizing personal well-being.
