City, County, and Local Government Law Section recognizes Nikki Day
“In a section full of volunteers, this year’s Chair Service Award recipient, Nikki Day, stands out as going above and beyond for the section, volunteering to work on projects, coordinating and moderating CLEs, and presenting at webinars and conferences,” said Section Chair Amanda Coffey. “Nikki approaches every project with cheerful energy, competence, and determination that guarantees she’ll accomplish her goals. I am proud to be able to work with this impressive individual and to call her a friend.”
The CCLGL Section, which represents the interests of Florida’s local government attorneys and has approximately 1,700 members, functions as a vehicle for lawyers who serve local governments. It helps them to build networks, exchange ideas, continue their legal education, and advocate on issues important to them and their clients.
“It is a great honor to be recognized by my peers in the local government legal community with this distinguished award,” said Day, who practices with Bryant Miller Olive in Tampa. “I’ve committed my entire career to representing Florida’s city, county, and state governmental entities, and this award inspires me and my team to continue this important work.”
Day is board certified City, County & Local Government Law and is general counsel to the cities of Safety Harbor, Dunedin, and Largo, and the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority. She also serves as special counsel to other cities, counties, and local governments throughout the state.
