Committee on Standard Jury Instructions in Civil Cases to fill vacancies

Announcements

Supreme CourtThe Florida Supreme Court Committee on Standard Jury Instructions in Civil Cases is seeking applicants for vacancies to be considered at the committee’s June meeting.

Candidates with significant trial or appellate experience preferred. The committee’s work requires that members view instructions objectively, making every effort to prepare balanced instructions that do not favor their own practice areas.

This is an active committee. Members are expected to attend three meetings a year. Two of the three meetings will take place in conjunction with The Florida Bar’s Winter Meetings and Annual Convention and require in-person attendance. Members are also expected to join and participate in subcommittees, which meet virtually throughout the year, as necessary.

Judges and attorneys interested in applying may obtain an application here.

Completed applications should be submitted by email to Vice Chair Nichole Segal at [email protected] and Attorney Liaison Heather Telfer at [email protected]. The application deadline is May 1.
