Dade Legal Aid celebrates Leadership Academy Class and renames academy after Miami attorney

The program will now be known as The Robert C. Josefsberg Leadership Academy, recognizing Josefsberg’s decades of leadership, professionalism, and commitment to mentoring.
“Mr. Josefsberg’s leadership, professionalism, and passion helped shape the academy and inspired each class of fellows,” said Stephanie Grosman, Leadership Academy coordinator.
The Class VIII graduation was marked by a reception hosted by Jones Walker and organized by Nicole Grimal Helmstetter, an attorney with the firm and a member of the academy’s inaugural class. Chief Judge Ariana Fajardo Orshan of the 11th Judicial Circuit delivered keynote remarks, commending the fellows for their dedication to community service and underscoring the role of pro bono work in ensuring equal access to justice.
The 22 graduates represent a broad range of practice areas and law firms across South Florida.
Class VIII Fellows include Antonio Bayuelo, Jordan Benatar, Stephanie Cruz, Richard Cruz, Reunie Faustin, Aimee Garces, Nadine Gedeon, Thomas Graham, Karenin Hache, Andres Hidalgo, Jae Huckaba, Judelande Jeune, Christian Kohlsaat, Elisabeth Magloire, Spencer Mayer, Scott Merl, Leticia Mora, Meagan Nicholson, Emma Refuveille, Sydney Smith, Emmanuella Telfort, and Tanisha Wright.
