On June 8, Dade Legal Aid – Put Something Back,  in collaboration with the Miami Dade Bar Family Courts Committee and Young Lawyers Section, will be presenting its 30th Annual Nuts and Bolts of Divorce Family Law Seminar to recruit and train attorneys to handle pro bono cases.

This year’s panel includes opening remarks from 11th Judicial Circuit Chief Judge Nushin G. Sayfie, and presentations by Administrative Judge Samantha Ruiz Cohen and Judge Christina Marie DiRaimondo of the Family Division,  Jordan Abramowitz Abramowitz & Associates, Maria C. Gonzalez of Maria C. Gonzalez, P.A., Catherine Rodriguez of Filler Rodriguez, and Jacqueline M. Valdespino of Valdespino & Associates.  Serving as moderators on behalf of the Miami Dade Bar Family Courts are Co-Chair Brittany Bonner of Filler Rodriguez, Co-Chair Amber Kornreich of Kornreich & Associates, and Vice Chair Marck Joseph of The Joseph Law Firm.

Topics include: The Importance of Pro Bono, Updates from the Family Court Division, Professionalism in Family Court Proceedings, New Alimony Statute, Motions for Contempt, Attorney’s Fees, and more.

“Almost everyone needs an attorney when navigating these difficult challenges but not everyone can afford one.  The Courts are so grateful to our Miami Bar and Dade Legal Aid – Put Something Back for filling this much needed gap,” Chief Judge Sayfie said.

Attendance is free for all attorneys who agree to accept a pro bono family law case from Dade Legal Aid/Put Something Back. Attendees will earn 4.5 CLE credits, including 1.0 Ethics & .5 Professionalism.
