Emergency order extends court mediator education and certification deadlines

Regular News

Florida-Supreme-Court-SealChief Justice Charles Canady issued a new administrative order April 7 extending education and certification deadlines for Florida Supreme Court certified mediators due to the COVID-19 public health emergency.

The order extends deadlines through December 31 for mediator certification and training and renewals of mediator certification. It also waives requirements for live training in several alternative dispute resolution programs for the same period of time.

The chief justice will review this and other COVID-19 orders as the pandemic emergency develops and will extend them for longer periods if needed.

This and other emergency orders and advisories are being linked on the Florida Supreme Court’s website: https://www.floridasupremecourt.org/Emergency
