Family Law Section names Kimberly Rommel-Enright as 2025 Visionary Award Winner

Kimberly Rommel-Enright, Visionary Award winner, and Christopher W. Rumbold, Family Law Section chair.
“One of the most dedicated family law practitioners I have ever met,” is how Family Law Section Chair Christopher W. Rumbold introduced Kimberly Rommel-Enright as he presented her the Family Law Section’s 2025 Visionary Award.
“The section is deeply honored to award this to Kimberly,” Rumbold said. “I can think of no one more deserving of this distinction, as she truly embodies the meaning of this award. We’re so grateful for the time she has dedicated in leadership roles within our section, and Palm Beach County is lucky to have such a brilliant attorney committed to Florida’s families and children.”
Since 1992, Rommel-Enright has been a advocate of the underserved in Palm Beach County, handling adoption, custody, paternity, and guardian cases, as well as a range of cases for members of the LGBTQ community.
Rommel-Enright, a supervising attorney with Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County, currently serves on the Family Law Section Executive Council and co-chairs the Legislation Committee.
The Visionary Award is presented annually for “outstanding service and invaluable contributions” to the practice of family law. It was created in 2005 by Evan Marks, then chair of the Family Law Section. He and attorney Tom Sasser believed the section should honor those who had made major contributions to the advancement of family law in Florida. Marks created the Visionary Award to recognize those who had the vision and the drive to push for and/or implement changes or improvements to family law in ways that benefited some or all of those involved in the system.
The award was presented during the 2025 Marital & Family Law Review Course, which was held January 24-25 at the Loews Royal Pacific Hotel in Orlando. An annual collaboration between the Florida Chapter of the American Association of Matrimonial Lawyers and the Family Law Section, the event is a two-day board certification review course for family law professionals.
This year’s event drew nearly 2,000 participants and presented attendees the opportunity to earn up to 15 CLE or 14 CJE credits.
