During the Family Law Section’s Annual Membership Awards and Installation Banquet on June 19 in conjunction with the Annual Florida Bar Convention, Christopher W. Rumbold was sworn in as chair for the 2024-25 Bar year.

Rumbold is board certified in marital and family law and is principal of the Law Office of Christopher W. Rumbold, PLLC, based in Ft. Lauderdale. For his year, Rumbold’s theme is “Mental Health and Wellness,” which will be woven into events including:

  • The Out-of-State Retreat (October 2024, Omni Grove Park, Asheville, NC)
  • The In-State Retreat (May 2025, W, Fort Lauderdale)

Rumbold was a former assistant public defender in Palm Beach County. He then turned his focus exclusively to family law, and in 2005 he joined Heller & Chames in Miami, as a senior associate, and in 2010 joined Gladstone & Weissman in Boca Raton, as a senior associate and later he became a partner. He launched his eponymous firm in 2015.

The Family Law Section Executive Committee members for the 2024-25 include Chair-elect, Aimee C. Gross of the Law Offices of Aimee Gross, P.A. in Ft. Lauderdale; Treasurer Tenesia C. Hall, of the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar; Secretary Andrea Reid of The Reid Law Group in Boca Raton; and Immediate Past Chair Sarah E. Kay of Kay Family Law in Tampa. Four of the five members of the Family Law Section Executive Committee are board certified.

Also at the ceremony, seven newly board certified marital and family law attorneys were sworn in: Rachel Borntreger, Anthony Genova, Marck Joseph, Andrea Reid, Adam Sackrin, Michael Vaghaiwalla, and Carolyn Ware.
