As part of its mission to support and mentor the next generation of family law attorneys, the Family Law Section awarded 11 students, each in their third year of law school, stipends so they could attend and participate in the 2025 AAML-Florida Chapter/Family Law Section Marital and Family Law Review Course held in Orlando last week.
“One of our top priorities is to help young, up-and-coming lawyers navigate the often very complex system of Family Law,” Family Law Section Chair Christopher W. Rumbold said. “The opportunity these students had, being around 2,000 esteemed family law professionals, was truly invaluable and the feedback we received from them was overwhelmingly positive.”
A stipend, worth up to $3,500, was awarded to one student from each of Florida’s 11 accredited law schools. The students were required to submit applications for consideration, and the Finance Committee of the Family Law Section reviewed and selected the award recipients.
