Five Young Lawyer Division board races decided

YLD logoFive races were decided in March balloting for the Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors.

  • In the race for Ninth Circuit, Seat 3, Melissa A. Bryan received 75 votes to defeat XiXi Li with 67 votes.
  • In the race for 11th Circuit, Seat 2, Magbis Sanchez bested Brittany Herndon 118 to 77.
  • In the race for 11th Circuit, Seat 3, Joshua Padron outpolled Blake Bierman 120 to 83;
  • In the race for 11th Circuit, Seat 6, Brittney Polo defeated Melissa Victoria Jordon 140 to 68.
  • In the race for 17th Circuit, Seat 3, Lair Hall defeated Shawn Shaikh 86 to 25.

Elected to the YLD board earlier without opposition were:

  • Haley VanFleteren, First Circuit, Seat 1
  • Kellen Vincent, Third Circuit, Seat 1
  • Rachel Ponte, Fifth Circuit, Seat 1

  • Tiffany-Ashley Disney, 11th Circuit, Seat 1
  • Altanese Phenelus, 11th Circuit, Seat 4

  • Jessica Kramer, 13th Circuit, Seat 1
  • Ciara C. Willis, 13th Circuit, Seat 3
  • Imani Williams, 15th Circuit, Seat 1

The YLD board members will be sworn in at the Annual Florida Bar Convention in June in Boca Raton.
