John FrostJohn W. Frost II, who served as president of The Florida Bar in 1996-1997, will be the featured speaker at the annual 50-year Member Luncheon at the Bar’s Annual Convention in Boca Raton.

The luncheon is set for Friday, June 28, at the Boca Raton Resort & Club.

Frost, a member of this year’s 50-year class, has a long record of service to the legal profession, beginning with his term as president of the Young Lawyers Division and including directorship of The Florida Bar Foundation. Frost also is a fomer chair of the Supreme Court and Second DCA judicial nominating commissions, the Civil Trial Certification Committee, and member of the ABA House of Delegates. He practices with Frost Law Firm, P.A., a statewide civil trial firm located in Bartow.

This year, all 50-year honorees are encouraged to submit photos and brief messages for the luncheon’s Voices of Experience slide presentation. Messages may include personal reflections, advice to young lawyers, or lessons learned during a 50-year career in the law.

Both 50-year members of The Florida Bar and senior counselors will be recognized at the luncheon. The senior counselors program recognizes current active and inactive Florida Bar members who have practiced law for 50 years or more and have not previously been recognized by The Florida Bar for this accomplishment.

Florida Bar members admitted in 1969 who did not receive their invitation letters or who want more information about submitting messages and photos for the Voices of Experience presentation should contact Cheri Wright, program administrator for the Senior Lawyers Committee, at [email protected].
