Governor appoints a Columbia County judge
Gov. Ron DeSantis October 3 appointed Charles Garrett Hill of Lake City to serve as judge on the Columbia County bench.
Hill has served as an assistant state attorney for the Third Judicial Circuit since 2020. Previously, he served as an assistant state attorney in the Fourth Judicial Circuit. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Faulkner University and his juris doctor from Florida State University. Hill fills the judicial vacancy created by the enactment of HB 5401.
