Governor appoints two new judges in April
Gov. Ron DeSantis made two judicial appointment in April.
Andrew Bain of Orlando to serve as judge on the Orange County Court
Bain is the head of government and business engagement at Byrd Campbell. Previously, he served as the State Attorney in the Ninth Judicial Circuit. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami and his juris doctor from Florida A&M University. Bain fills the judicial vacancy created by the enactment of HB 5401.
Robert Ostrov of Wellington to serve as judge on the Hendry County Court
Ostrov has served as a general magistrate for the 20th Judicial Circuit since 2018 and has been the managing partner of the Law Offices of Robert L. Ostrov since 2007. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Tulane University and his juris doctor from Fordham University. Ostrov fills the judicial vacancy created by the elevation of Judge Darrell Hill.
