Governor makes 17th Circuit judicial appointment

Johnathan Lott

Gov. Ron DeSantis on November 25 appointed Johnathan D. Lott to the 17th Circuit bench.

Originally from Pensacola, Lott is a 2014 graduate of the University of Chicago Law School and a member of The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division. The Ft. Lauderdale resident has worked for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for four years where he was assigned to the civil division. Lott fills the vacancy left by Circuit Judge John Murphy III, who resigned on August 1 after 20 years on the bench.
