Florida Court Clerks & Comptrollers (FCCC) awarded its 2024-2025 Clerk of the Year Award to Hernando County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller Doug Chorvat, Jr.

Orange County Clerk and 2024-2025 FCCC President Tiffany Moore Russell announced the award during the association’s annual summer conference.

"Clerk Chorvat is the ultimate team player, always ready to step up, lead and represent Clerks and Comptrollers across the state,” Russell said. “He has been instrumental in helping shape our association’s priorities, particularly through his leadership in advancing Clerk technology initiatives that modernize and strengthen our services and statewide systems. It is with great pride that I congratulate him on being named Clerk of the Year and thank him for his unwavering commitment, innovative vision, and tireless support of our mission.”

The Clerk of the Year Award is presented to an FCCC member who has demonstrated outstanding leadership skills and a commitment to improving the ability of Clerks and Comptrollers to serve Floridians through professional education, legislative action, and public awareness of the office.
