Jason Quintero, a construction law attorney and community advocate, has been awarded the 2025 Alan B. Bookman Service in Leadership Award — a recognition of his professionalism, mentorship, and unwavering commitment to both the legal profession and public service.

Quintero, a member of the Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law and Business Law sections, was presented with the award at the Annual Florida Bar Convention in June.

Dedicated to the broader legal community, Quintero was recently elected to the governing committee of the American Bar Association Forum on Construction Law and serves as chair of division 7 (liens, bonds, and surety). At Carlton Fields, he serves as the Tampa office managing shareholder. Outside of his practice, he serves as vice chair of Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County and provides pro bono legal representation to veterans in matters involving disability and benefits determinations before the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Alan Bookman, who served as Bar president in 2004-2005, died December 24, 2021, at the age of 74. The Alan B. Bookman Service in Leadership, Inc., a Florida not for profit corporation, was established as a memorial fund in honor of Bookman in 2022. The fund provide grants to Florida not-for-profit organizations, as designated by a Bar member who receives the Alan B. Bookman Service in Leadership Award.
