The Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County hosted its “Justice For All Celebration” recently, welcoming 500 guests and raising more than $520,000, a record-breaking amount, to support the society’s 21 programs dedicated to serving low-income and vulnerable residents in the local community.
Among those honored for their commitment to equal justice were:
- McDonald Hopkins, which received the And Justice for All Award for its pro bono work on behalf of LASPBC clients.

- Danielle H. Moore, who received the Harreen Bertisch Children’s Advocacy Award for her work to improve the lives of children in Palm Beach County.
The evening was chaired by former Florida Bar President Michelle Suskauer and Judge Scott Suskauer alongside Amy and Jeff Devore.
Contributing to the fundraiser’s success were retired Justice Barbara Pariente and Jack Scarola, who led a “call to the heart” to raise unrestricted funds for LASPBC’s programs.
Among the event’s many sponsors were Justice Barbara J. Pariente, Judge Fred Hazouri, Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart & Shipley, and Smith, Ball, Baez & Prather.
LASPBC’s Justice For All Celebration, themed “Legal Aid in Bloom,” was held May 10 at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach.
