Lee County Bar Association cancels this year’s Bench Bar Golden Gala
Hurricane Ian has washed out this year’s Lee County Bar Association Bench Bar Golden Gala that was originally set for November 12.
“It is with absolute sadness that we announce that we have cancelled our beloved annual Bench Bar Gala,” the Lee County Bar posted on its Facebook page. “This year we had some REALLY amazing things planned for said Gala, but with the damages we have all suffered and the circumstance of Hurricane Ian, we cannot host it this year.”
The voluntary bar says is looks forward to its annual holiday party “where we can all get together and (hopefully) talk about how far we have come after this devastating disaster!”
Those who bought tickets and paid for sponsorships (outside of annual sponsorships) will be issued a refund, according to the bar.
The Lee County Bar headquarters is scheduled to reopen today, October 18, for regular business hours.
