Legal Aid Service of Collier County conducting free Hurricane Ian pro bono clinic Saturday

Legal Aid Service of Collier County is conducting a free pro bono legal clinic to assist Collier County residents impacted by Hurricane Ian.
The clinic will take place this Saturday, October 22, from 10 to 2 p.m. at LASCC’s Naples Office located at 4436 Tamiami Trail East in Naples.
Private pro bono attorney volunteers will be on site to provide legal advice to those in need on matters including:
- Insurance Law (homeowners claims and renters insurance)
- FEMA applications and appeals process
- Tax Law
- Contracts
- Consumer Law (including how to address unlicensed contractors or consumer fraud/gouging)
- Condo Law/HOA
- Eviction and Landlord – Tenant disputes (including mold and unsafe living conditions)
- Foreclosure
- Car Insurance claims and losses
- Credit and collections
- Bankruptcy
- Public Benefits
“We know that many people in our community have suffered devastating losses as a result of Hurricane Ian and its unprecedented impact on Southwest Florida,” said Carol O’Callaghan, deputy executive director of Legal Aid Service of Collier County. “We are grateful to all the private pro bono attorneys volunteering for this clinic and for all the support provided by the Collier County Bar Association as we work together to provide relief and recovery to our neighbors in need during this most difficult time.”
Pre-registration for the event is encouraged but not required. Walk-ups will be accepted at the clinic, but those who have pre-registered in advance and arrive at 10 a.m. will be first served. All members of the public who are in need of help are welcome to attend. Bring a valid ID and any paperwork that may be relevant to the legal issues in question to be discussed with the pro bono attorneys.
