Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County kicks off ‘Young Advocates’ group at Mini Golf Mixer
The “Legal Aid Young Advocates” held its inaugural fundraising event on September 23 at PopStroke, drawing nearly 100 attendees in support of The Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County. Coordinated by event Chairs Josh Benrubi and Josh Resnick, the evening raised over $10,000 for the organization.
The newly formed donor circle, Legal Aid Young Advocates, aims to support essential legal services for the community. Committee members — including Will Floersheimer, Corey Gross, Laura Nyguen, Zach O’Neill, Dina Rosenbaum, Jordan Roth, and Kelly Schulz — were instrumental in organizing the event, which was attended by judges Lauren Burke and Melanie Surber, as well as several Legal Aid board members, including Rick Benrubi, Alan Burger, Nick Johnson, Wilnar Julmiste, Tama Kudman, Scott Murray, and Mathew Zimmerman.
Old Dominion National Bank served as the presenting sponsor, with additional support from major sponsors McDonald Hopkins and Truist Wealth. Benrubi and Resnick welcomed attendees, outlining future plans for the organization.
“We are so grateful for the support of our sponsors and participants at this inaugural event,” said Robert Bertisch, executive director of the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County. “The funds raised from this event will help us continue to provide essential legal services to those who need them most.”
