Melodie Khosrovani has been chosen to receive the First Annual Shutts & Bowen Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award.

The award was presented to Khosrovani on November 14, 2024, at Shutts & Bowen’s Tampa office during the firm’s monthly social event.

“Melodie’s work has had a profound impact on many clients,” said Jack C. McElroy, Shutts & Bowen managing partner. “We not only congratulate her on this award, but we thank her for this outstanding service.”

The firm’s pro bono committee selected Khosrovani to receive this award because of her consistently high number of pro bono hours each year, and her willingness to take on pro bono representations on a regular basis.

“Melodie’s dedication to pro bono work exemplifies the highest ideals of our profession,” said Ella Shenhav, co-chair of the pro bono committee. “Her commitment to serving those in need, while also developing her legal expertise, is inspiring. We are proud to recognize her outstanding contributions and the positive impact she continues to make on both our community and the firm.”

Khosrovani has taken on multiple pro bono matters since joining Shutts & Bowen in 2020. She has represented victims of domestic violence and organizations dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities. She also regularly volunteers at a pro bono clinic for the homeless and indigent.
