Judge Stefanie Moon

Judge Stefanie C. Moon, Robert W. Murphy, and Craig Waters has been appointed by the Florida Supreme Court to serve a three-year term on the board of The Florida Bar Foundation

Moon, a 17th Circuit judge, graduated from Southern University Law Center in 1994. She has served as an assistant state attorney, a senior assistant statewide prosecutor, and an assistant U.S. attorney. She also served as a special magistrate for the Broward County Value Adjustment Board. Judge Moon presides in the Unified Family Court Domestic Violence Division. She previously worked as a sole practitioner specializing in business litigation and white-collar criminal defense. Moon has also served as a board member for Legal Aid Service of Broward County and the American Red Cross.

Bob Murphy

Bob Murphy

Murphy practices in Ft. Lauderdale with the Murphy Law Firm, focusing on consumer rights. He earned his juris doctor from the University of Florida College of Law. Since 2001, he has been a member of The Florida Bar’s Consumer Protection Law Committee and served as its chair from 2004 to 2006. Murphy is a member of the Foundation’s Advocate’s Society for lifetime giving, having donated more than $415,000 through the facilitation of multiple cy pres awards.

Craig Waters

Craig Waters

Water is the former communications director of the Supreme Court and lives in Tallahassee. Before working as a journalist in his hometown of Pensacola, he attended Brown University. Waters then earned his juris doctor from the University of Florida. He began his law career as a staff attorney for Justice Rosemary Barkett. In 1994, under the direction of Chief Justices Stephanie Grimes and Gerald Kogan, he created the court’s first website. Two years later, he formed the court’s public information office as part of Kogan’s effort to improve public access to the courts.
