Patrick Montoya and Latoya Brown of Colson Hicks Eidson have been elected to the board of directors for the Dade County Bar Association. Montoya will serve as a director for Group 3, and Brown will serve as a director for Group 1.

Steven Marks of Podhurst Orseck in Miami was appointed to the Legal Advisory Committee to the International Civil Aeronautical Organization.

Harsh Aroraof Spiegel & Utrera in Miami spoke on the legal issues from the U.S. perspective relating to cross-border transactions between India and the U.S. at the seminar moderated by The India-U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Inc., in Hallandale Beach.

Zachary N. James of Meland Russin & Budwick in Miami received the 2016 Dade County Bar Association/Dade Legal Aid Outstanding Child Advocacy Attorney of the Year Award.

Bill Brinton of Rogers Towers in Jacksonville received The Garden Club of America’s Cynthia Pratt Laughlin Medal at GCA’s Annual Meeting in Minneapolis for his achievement in environmental protection and the maintenance of the quality of life.

Walter “Skip” Campbell, of Krupnick Campbell Malone Buser Slama Hancock & Liberman and mayor of Coral Springs, was recognized by The American Registry with the 2016 “America’s Most Honored Professionals Award.”

Harley S. Tropin of Kozyak Tropin & Throckmorton in Miami received the American Jewish Committee’s 2016 Judge Learned Hand Award.

Brian Koch of Greenberg Traurig in Ft. Lauderdale co-chaired the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man and Woman of the Year campaign for Ft. Lauderdale, which raised over $500,000 in the fight to cure blood cancers.

Levin was inducted into the Trial Lawyer Hall of Fame at Temple University and received the National Trial Lawyer of the Year for 2015 from The National Trial Lawyers.
