Nominations now being accepted for the Hoeveler Judicial Professionalism Award

The Bar’s Standing Committee on Professionalism is now accepting nominations for the annual William. M. Hoeveler Judicial Professionalism Award, which recognizes a judge in active service who best exemplifies strength of character, service, and competence as a jurist, lawyer, and public servant.
To submit a nomination, click here. The deadline for nominations is February 6, 2026.
Nominees are often judges who have communicated their dedication to the ideals of justice and demonstrated diligence in inspiring others. Any judge who served in active or senior capacity within one year preceding the deadline is eligible for nomination.
The winner will be announced at The Florida Bar Annual Convention during the Judicial Luncheon. The convention will be held in Orlando June 17-21, at the Signia by Hilton Orlando-Bonnet Creek.
