North wing of the Broward County Judicial Complex renamed the Judge Thomas J. "TJ" Reddick, Jr. North Building THE NORTH WING of the Broward County Judicial Complex was recently renamed the Judge Thomas J. “TJ” Reddick, Jr., North Building in honor of the former judge and founder of the TJ Reddick Bar Association. The late Judge Reddick was the first black attorney to open an office and practice law in Broward County, be appointed to the Broward County Court of Record, and elected to serve as circuit judge in Florida. The TJ Reddick Bar Association board members are pictured with Broward County’s black judges, Vice-Mayor Dale Holness, and Judge Reddick’s two sons, Conrad Reddick and T.J. Reddick III, at the renaming ceremony. On October 24, there will be a portrait unveiling ceremony in honor of Judge Reddick at the Broward County Courthouse from noon to 1 p.m.
