Jenna G. Rubin has been admitted as a member of Gutter Chaves Josepher Rubin Forman Fleisher Miller in Boca Raton. Rubin focuses her practice on probate, trust, and guardianship litigation and administration, as well as estate and tax planning.

Timothy O. McMahon, Tashia M. Small, and Nicole F. Soto have become partners with Conroy Simberg. McMahon of Orlando focuses on general liability defense, with an emphasis on construction defects. Small of Jacksonville focuses on liability matters including insurance defense, automobile liability, professional liability, general liability, premises liability, trucking/transportation, employment law, SIU/PIP, and construction defects. Soto of Tampa focuses on personal injury, catastrophic loss, and construction defect litigation.

Mitch Burnstein of the Broward office has been named the managing director of Weiss Serota Helfman Cole & Bierman and will be responsible for overseeing operations and day-to-day management firm-wide. Burnstein focuses on real property litigation matters.

Jonathan Zim has joined the labor and employment firm of Gallup Auerbach in Hollywood as an associate.

Michael Nullman has become an equity shareholder with Nason Yeager Gerson White & Lioce in Palm Beach Gardens. Nullman is a member of the commercial litigation practice group.

Travis Santos of Hill Ward Henderson in Tampahas been elected a shareholder in the firm’s bankruptcy and creditors’ rights and commercial litigation groups.

Kristin L. Stocks has joined Kubicki Draper in Ft. Myers focusing on automobile, general liability, and first-party property insurance defense matters.

Eric K. Gressman and Derek H. Sparks have joined Kelley Kronenberg in Miami as partners. Gressman focuses on liability and casualty defense. Sparks focuses on employment and labor law, commercial litigation, and business transactions.

Jason Murray has become a shareholder with Gunster in Miami focusing on franchise and distribution law.

Bernardo Franco has joined AXS Law Group in Wynwood as a foreign legal consultant and corporate attorney and Nicolle Barrantes has joined the firm as an associate. Bernardo focuses on cross-border disputes and complex civil litigation in the United States and Brazil. Barrantes focuses on general corporate matters, as well as domestic mergers and acquisitions and divestitures.

Peter A. Sachs of West Palm Beach was elected to Jones, Foster, Johnston & Stubbs’ Board of Directors. Sachs focuses on trust and estate, guardianship, and commercial litigation matters.

G. Mark Thompson of Philadelphia has become president and chief executive officer of Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin.The firm is headquartered in Philadelphia and has four offices in Florida.

Star L. Boyce has joined Fowler White Burnett in Miami as an associate in the medical malpractice practice group.

Ernesto A. Luciano has been promoted to vice president and associate general counsel of Kaplan Higher & Professional Education in Ft. Lauderdale, focusing on commercial transactions related to internet, media, privacy, advertising, higher education, and technology law.

Jennifer L. Griffin has joined Trenam Law in Tampa as a shareholder and member of the private client services group.

Erica Rutner has been made a partner of Lash & Goldberg in Miami. She focuses on class action and multidistrict litigation defense.

Kadian N. Blanson has been named a partner of Rivero Mestre in Miami. Blanson focuses on counseling construction, insurance, commercial, energy, and real estate entities.

Karen Kline of Boca Raton and Michael J. Shuman of Miami have become partners with Duane Morris. Kline practices in the area of intellectual property law. Shuman’s practice includes a wide range of complex business-related matters, with an emphasis on construction.

Meehle & Jay, P.A., has moved to 1215 East Concord Street in the historic Mills 50 neighborhood of Orlando.

Sean M. O’Neil has joined Kubicki Draper in Jacksonville focusing on first and third-party insurance defense litigation, auto negligence, premises liability, special investigations, and PIP defense.

Ben Crump Law in Tallahassee and The Rosen Law Firm in New York have formed a partnership to help institutional investors that have fallen victim to securities fraud and corporate misconduct. The new venture will operate out of each firm’s respective headquarters.

Diana Arteaga has become vice president of government relations for Broward Health.

Kassandra Doyle Taylor has been named a partner with McAlpin Conroy in Miami. Taylor focuses on admiralty and maritime litigation.

Luis “Lu” Prats has been named office managing shareholder of Carlton Fields in Tampa. Prats focuses on corporate law.

Brenda J. Newman has opened Newman Mediation & Law in Orlando. Newman provides mediation services for construction defect premises liability, commercial litigation property damage claims, medical negligence wrongful death, trucking and automobile liability, hurricane matters, global/multi-party competing claims, products liability, and first and third-party insurance matters.

Stephen S. Dobson and Thomas M. Findley have joined Baker Donelson in Tallahassee as shareholders.
