Palm Beach County Chapter of FAWL to celebrate its 39th year February 16

PBC FAWL logoThe Palm Beach County Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers will celebrate its 39th year at what is regularly one of the Palm Beach County legal community’s best attended events, historically drawing over 275 lawyers and judges, as well as many distinguished members of the local business community.

The Justice Barbara Pariente Judicial Reception is set for February 16 from 6 to 8 p.m., at The Ben, located at 251 N. Narcissus Avenue in West Palm Beach. The cost is $75 for FAWL Members; $85 for other members of the Bar; and complimentary for the judges and judicial assistants.

FAWL strives “to actively promote gender equality and leadership roles of FAWL’s members in the legal profession, judiciary, and community at large.”

Four awards will be presented this year, including the Judge Meenu Sasser Outstanding Young Lawyer Award, the Distinguished Jurist of the Year Award, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Diversity in the Workplace Award, and the Justice Barbara Pariente Award. Retired Supreme Court Justice Barbara Pariente will be in attendance to present the award named after her.

The program will also include a presentation highlighting Justice Pariente’s career.
