It all started with a slice of pizza. As a business owner and resident of downtown Orlando, Rebecca Palmer gives back to her community.

“I have participated with my family in 5K runs, attended fundraisers, and spent Saturday mornings doing beautification projects around the city,” Palmer said. “When my 19-year-old daughter, Jessica, was in elementary school, we supported Mending Hearts, a non-profit organization that collects essential items like soap, socks, toothbrushes, and toothpaste. One of my community outreach efforts saw me join other volunteers to hand out slices of pizza to the homeless in downtown Orlando. This grew into a partnership with Wells Fargo and their customers, donating soap and supplies for us to hand out during our community outreach events.”

On June 3 the staff of Rebecca L. Palmer Law Group and other volunteers distributed donated supplies and purchased necessities to those in need in the downtown Orlando area.

“The need for supporting the homeless community has grown way beyond a slice of pizza, but we are committed to doing what we can to help preserve the legacy of the City Beautiful,” said Palmer, noting that along with Wells Fargo, her firm also partners with local organizations like Mending Hearts, Serving Out of Love, and several soup kitchens to help support the distribution of essential items such as hot meals, clothes, and medical care.
