Reception to benefit Legal Services of Greater Miami raises $25,000

Legal Services of Greater Miami hosted a cocktail reception for the second year in a row that brought attention to the importance of having access to a lawyer, as well as raised $25,000 to benefit their mission.
The fundraising initiative, “Cocktails Under the Stars,” was developed in partnership with Evensky & Katz/Foldes Wealth Management to generate support for the organization. It kicked off last fall and may become one of the organization’s key events.
Over 150 people in the corporate and legal industries gathered to support Legal Services of Greater Miami and the evening featured fire performers and included raffles and a silent auction.
“Legal services are not a luxury, but a necessity for a healthy and just society,” said David Evensky of Evensky & Katz/Foldes. “They empower the vulnerable, protect the rights, and uphold the dignity of all people. We are proud to partner with Legal Services for our annual fundraiser.”
