Richard G. Chosid petitions for Bar reinstatement
Pursuant to Rule 3-7.10, Richard G. Chosid has petitioned the Supreme Court of Florida for Bar reinstatement.
Chosid was suspended from the practice of law for six months effective April 17, 2023. Chosid accepted a deposit into his trust account for a client and agreed to disburse the funds at the client’s direction for a fee. Respondent received the funds and disbursed them as directed by the client. Unbeknownst to Chosid, the funds were intended to secure a standby letter of credit for a third party. Respondent breached his fiduciary duty to the third party by failing to apprise himself of the intended purpose of the funds and disbursing them in accordance with his client’s instructions.
