Rocking for hammerheads
RICHARD E. WARNER , left, and William Heffernan on the harmonica, both Marathon attorneys, rocked the night on December 1 playing the Ray Charles classic “What I’d Say” at the “60s Rockerama,” a benefit for the Great Hammerhead Project. This marine science program, established at Aquarium Encounters in Marathon, performs advanced research into the challenges facing the great hammerhead shark which has seen its numbers decrease in the Florida Keys over recent years. The rock concert was special in that for each 60s song performed, video clips and images of the original artists who made each song popular were projected onto a large screen above the stage.
