Rupasri S. “Rupa” Lloyd: 'During my tenure as chair, my top priorities are to support member engagement and networking opportunities through in-person and virtual meetings and CLEs, as well as a section retreat.'

Rupasri S. “Rupa” Lloyd of Gainesville has been elected as The Florida Bar Health Law Section's 2025–2026 chair.

Lloyd, of GrayRobinson, has an ambitious agenda for the Bar year.

“During my tenure as chair, my top priorities are to support member engagement and networking opportunities through in-person and virtual meetings and CLEs, as well as a section retreat,” Lloyd said. “I also want to bolster member wellness through a section-sponsored CPR training and certification opportunity — learning how to do CPR not only enables us to save another’s life but also boosts our own self-esteem and confidence.”

Lloyd also plans to keep the section "modern and relevant" by refreshing its standing committees and championing the next generation of leaders in health law.

“I’m looking forward to continuing the section's ‘Top 10 Under 40’ award to honor rising legal professionals who demonstrate outstanding achievement, community engagement, and a commitment to advancing health law in Florida,” Lloyd said. “This important program spotlights Florida-licensed attorneys under the age of 40 who are making meaningful contributions to the profession and their communities.”

Lloyd is GrayRobinson’s Gainesville deputy managing shareholder and a veteran attorney with more than two decades of experience navigating the complexities of healthcare law

Joining Lloyd in leadership for the 2025–2026 Bar year are Chair-elect Jamie Gelfman of McDermott Will & Emery in Miami; Treasurer Elizabeth Scarola of Epstein Becker & Green in Tampa; Secretary Jacqueline A. Bain of Silverman Bain in Boca Raton; and Immediate Past Chair Jamaal R. Jones of Jones Health Law in Miami.
