Singer honored with National District Attorneys Association’s Distinguished Prosecutor Award

Jeanne M. SingerJeanne M. Singer, chief assistant state attorney for the Eighth Judicial Circuit in Florida has received the National District Attorneys Association’s Distinguished Prosecutor Award during its 2020 Summer Summit Virtual Series titled “The Challenge of Change: Prosecutors Leading the Way.”

Each year, NDAA recognizes prosecutors who have distinguished themselves as they seek justice, hold offenders accountable, and protect the rights of victims through daily service to their communities and their efforts to share expertise and knowledge with other prosecutors around the country through training and technical assistance.

In her nomination, it was noted that Singer has “been instrumental in developing a cadre of young prosecutors who now share her passion for pursuing justice, especially for the voiceless.”

Singer has received numerous past awards including Prosecutor of the Year for the State of Florida, the Martha Varnes Award for her work with victims of sexual abuse, and the Distinguished Service Award given by the Florida Council on Crime and Delinquency. Singer also serves as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Florida School of Law where she teaches trial advocacy and practice.
