Tallahassee Association for Women Lawyers webinar explores changes to the practice

Florida Bar President John Stewart“Lawyering in the Time of Covid-19” was the topic of a May 13 webinar hosted by the Tallahassee Association for Women Lawyers.

Florida Bar President John Stewart was among those sharing information. Stewart was joined by Second Circuit Judge Steven Everett and Katie Young, assistant director of The Henry Latimer Center for Professionalism at The Florida Bar.

Stewart discussed The Florida Bar‘s response to the pandemic, what Florida Bar members can expect in the near future, and shared other resources offered by the Bar.

Judge Everett discussed the courts’ response, the various administrative orders issued by the Florida Supreme Court and the Second Judicial Circuit, challenges faced by the courts, and what to expect in regards to court operations going forward. Young emphasized mental-health awareness month, with special consideration of the effects that COVID-19 has had on lawyers’ mental health.
