Tallahassee Bar Association YLS hosts ‘Raise It’ benefitting Girls on the Run

THE TALLAHASSEE BAR ASSOCIATION Young Lawyers Section hosted “Raise It,” March 16, an event bringing continued awareness to the local legal community of the importance of health and wellness. The event started at Momentum Fitness with a competitive team circuit followed by a 1K run to Deep Brewing Company to celebrate. The event raised over $1,200 for “Girls On The Run,” a non-profit inspiring girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. Over 60 participants consisting of 16 teams came out to support the event. “The Tallahassee legal community came together for a great cause and a well-earned beverage,” said TBA YLS President-elect Craig Richards. “It was inspiring to see Tallahassee’s professionals flipping tires, rowing, lifting, and running with the purpose of promoting health and wellness and inspiring young girls in the Big Bend Community to know their potential is limitless.”
