TBA's Tables for Eight
THE TALLAHASSEE BAR ASSOCIATION meeting featured “Tables for Eight” and guest speaker Scott Hawkins, president of The Florida Bar. Tables for Eight served as a forum where members of the judiciary and experienced lawyers could share their experiences and advice with young lawyers and third-year law students on such things as balancing a career and family; managing overwhelming billable-hour requirements and other work demands; and the importance of engaging in pro bono. Other topic areas focused on the many challenges that younger lawyers face as they progress in their legal careers, and how more experienced lawyers learn from the ways in which younger minds gain knowledge and communicate in this modern world.
